The rest of their hair is often combed back past their shoulders.Personality: An alarmingly deep voice is accompanied by an apparent accent. Their confrontational nature is expected by someone of their background, and hence, they are deemed as "strict" by others around them. In truth however, Ciarán is simply not ashamed to speak their mind, even when faced with the consequences of overstepping boundaries. Ciarán Vist was born in the year Universal Century 072. Often, Ciarán is described as an Idealistic, Unconventional, yet empathetic Indvidual. They always put important matters first, no matter the cost. Their aspirations and hobbies were heavily influenced by growing up within Maganallica, a colony builder that houses the Vist Family's mansion. Sitting atop Industrial Side 7, it overlooks much of the colony which it was attached to, giving them a view of its artificial sky every day and night.In childhood, they often found themselves absorbed in whatever their parents offered them. They were enrolled in Anaheim Electronics Technical School at an alarmingly young age, where their free time soon be stolen by Engineering and Piloting courses. Ciarán naturally looked forward to becoming part of the inner workings of their family's Vist Foundation all the same, however. Simply recognizing their family's name as something to " Be proud of, " according to Cardeas Vist.Revered and ogled at by those around them at school for their family name, demeanor, and how they dressed, they often felt like an outsider. Ciarán combated this by showing how direct and eccentric they could be, creating a commanding presence by the time they were a teen. Never did they back down from showing how they cared for what they believed was right. When the Titans came to power, Ciarán had openly protested against them. Most of their classmates practically forgot that Vist was their last name due to this 'virtuous' side of them. A side of them which their family openly detested. A side of them they wanted to rid of.Ciarán’s mother often berated them with words and physical assaults daily as they grew into their own personality. Reminding them of the name they had to live up to, as well as the responsibilities it came with, through thorough and harsh reinforcement. Many in the Vist Family saw Banagher Links, Cardeas Vists illegitimate child, as a threat to the family's well-being. Thus, when Anna Links stole custody of him at a young age, it robbed Ciarán of having anyone to relate to or spend time with at home, further alienating them from those around them. Ciarán felt isolated, and began to feel emotionally unstable, often lashing out at those in their family or school.The Vist's own Foundation made this no better for them. Once they joined with the Carbine Family thanks to the marriage of Martha Vist and Melanie Hue Carbine, their situation only became worse. Finance and business courses followed suit, piling atop their already invasive workload for someone so young.Cardeas Vist would always offer to oversee Ciarán as a child, taking them under his wing as he did with his own child, Banagher Links. As Ciarán became a teen, Cardeas began enrolling them into various special piloting tests and experiments at Anaheim's Headquarters, of which the rest of the Vist Family was not made aware.Looking for a proper mentor, they found one whilst visiting Anaheim Electronics headquarters in U.C 087. The legendary Ace Pilot Amuro Ray visited Anaheim whilst testing and designing his own version of the Zeta Gundam, which he piloted under the name White Unicorn. Amuro was cold at first, only allowing Ciarán to try simulations within his custom Zeta. Yet, overtime, this would become the eventual spark that led to a friendship between the two. Conversing about their similar interests and eventually conversing over their different struggles, they quickly latched onto Amuro, looking past his "One Year War Hero" image. Ciarán always viewed Amuro as a role model of sorts before, but they now had someone to truly look up to.The constant stress of goals and expectations began to burden them, nonetheless, and their family knew of it. The Vists had forced the responsibility of being a part of the Foundation too soon. Attempting to cover up Ciarán's attitude, the Vist family quickly decided to try and arrange a marriage for them. However, this became Ciarán's breaking point, and during a family meeting at Anaheim's Headquarters in U.C. 088, they took leave.Entering an MSA - 003 Nemo Cannon owned by Vist Foundation escorts, they departed from the Headquarters in Von Braun and found hospice aboard the Argama. There, they meet with the crew aboard and become an honorary pilot. Thanks to Captain Bright Noa and Judau Ashta, who both somehow worked together to keep them aboard, knowing their family connection could earn them access to more Mobile Suits and firepower. Captain Bright represents the AEUG whilst pretends to hold Ciarán as hostage, along with Roux, Judau, and Beecha. This allows them to procure multiple Mobile Suits from Anaheim, as well as upgrades. This includes a fully armed G Defenser, which boosts the Nemo's specifications. Ciarán acts as a covering support unit to the MSZ-010 ΖΖ Gundam, as well as the rest of the Team, soon before the battle of Axis.Ciarán's decision was solidified by their hatred for Neo-Zeon, and they wished to not see a repeat of the Gryps conflict. Of course, this hatred perpetuates their outbursts of negative emotions and violence towards others, akin to Kamille Bidan's. These outbursts confused those around Ciarán immensely. Not only were they extremely aggressive and threatening to those who didn't share the same values, but they also often never spared enemies who dared to hurt their friends in battle.After Neo Zeon is defeated, they follow suit and enlist in the E.F.S.F., saying goodbye to Judau and the rest of the Gundam Team. Their bond with their fellow soldiers starts particularly strongly, only outwardly. Ciarán’s tactics within battle often include sacrificing their squadmates' mobile suits and weapons in order to complete their mission. Idealistic and driven, their inspiring personality and nature convince others to follow their lead, even when it could lead to their deaths. An Ensign within their assigned unit by the time of Char's Rebellion, their expertise in using their surroundings, as well as their “team-based strategies”, became exceptionally useful.The first time Ciarán had truly felt any instance of 'Newtype' abilities was during U.C 093. Having what others viewed as minimal experience during Char's Rebellion, they were still deployed by Londo Bell forces in order to divert Axis from colliding with Earth. Apart of Amuro Ray's Mobile Suit Team, they stationed within the Ra Zyme. Ciarán launched in two units over the course of the event, one being a Prototype Stark Jegan armed with nukes, and the other, a custom Zeta Plus C1 Striker Unit.After the Nukes failed to reach their target, the Zeta Plus was outfitted in a special exterior armor crafted by Anaheim, fitted with an extensive, although unfinished, frame. Borrowed from leftover designs from Karaba, it blended Psychoframe technology with cutting edge beam weaponry. Intended to support the Amuro in the Nu Gundam, it allowed them to witness the unfortunate demise of multiple other Pilots on both sides of the conflict.Forced to witness dozens of their comrades die at the hands of Char’s Neo Zeon, they were further traumatized when their hero, Amuro Ray, went missing in action. Living through the war, thanks to what some claim are Newtype instincts, Ciarán lived with minor injuries. This battle solidified their status as a young ace pilot in the eyes of the Federation, though, not in their own. Ciarán believed they only survived due to efforts of Amuro Ray and the others, as well as the technology of the Zeta Plus.Ciarán grows to resent the incident, along with all of those who were even remotely involved. Any association with the revival of Zeon, situations involving newtypes, and all in between, upsets them greatly. This hate of theirs eventually becomes targeted towards their own family, the Vists, as well as the Sleeves. The Vist family often sends out orders to capture them, most of which often fail due to crafty intervention.Having displayed quick reaction times, precise maneuverability, and exemplary leadership, Ciarán is promoted to Lieutenant. Having developed a piloting style that complements their striking and emotional personality, they are often praised by CO's above them, such as Bright Noa, for excellent frontline strikes and retreats.In U.C 094, not long after the events of Char's rebellion, Ciarán is taken and captured by those within the E.F.S.F. They are coerced into becoming a Test Pilot once again by their family, the Vist Foundation, following a set of behind the curtain events orchestrated by Anaheim and the Vist Foundation. Ciarán's body had been secretly tested and experimented to comply with the possibility of such technology since they were a child, of course, to which they finally realized. These tests and events had become knowledge which they could barely remember. advanced technology created by Anaheim Electronics. Ciarán's tests allow for the final touches to be made to the UC Project.One such program is the " nitro " System , and the other, the " NT - D " System.
